Role Overview: Primary English Teacher
As a Primary English Teacher, you will guide students through core literacy skills, foster strong communication habits, and inspire a love of reading and writing. You will teach students aged 6–11 using the UK curriculum, adapting lessons to suit diverse learning needs.
Key Responsibilities
- Design and deliver high-quality English lessons
- Promote reading comprehension, writing fluency, and vocabulary development
- Provide regular feedback and assessment to support learning
- Build positive relationships with students, parents, and staff
- Participate in collaborative planning and school initiatives
- Use educational technology to enhance classroom learning
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Education or English
- Valid teaching certification (e.g., QTS, PGCE, or equivalent)
- Minimum of two years’ experience teaching English at the primary level
- Strong knowledge of literacy development in young learners
- Fluent English speaker with strong written and verbal communication skills
- Confident classroom presence and effective classroom management
- Enthusiastic, proactive, and team-oriented
