Position Overview: Secondary English Teacher (Native Speaker)
As a Secondary English Teacher, you will lead engaging, literature-rich instruction that builds strong analytical and communication skills. You will create a dynamic classroom environment where students thrive academically while developing their voice and perspective.
Responsibilities
- Teach English Language and Literature to middle and high school students based on the Cambridge or IB curriculum
- Design lessons that promote reading comprehension, writing fluency, and critical thinking
- Create a safe, inclusive classroom that encourages dialogue and expression
- Differentiate instruction to meet the learning needs of diverse students
- Integrate technology and interactive learning tools to support educational outcomes
- Collaborate with colleagues to enhance curriculum and best teaching practices
- Maintain open and consistent communication with students, parents, and staff
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in English, Education, or a related field
- Valid teaching license or internationally recognized teaching certification (e.g., QTS, PGCE)
- Minimum of 2 years teaching experience at the secondary level
- Native-level English proficiency (spoken and written)
- Strong classroom management and interpersonal skills
- A proactive, growth-oriented mindset and dedication to continuous improvement
- Experience in international schools or with the Cambridge/IB curriculum is an advantage
