Position Overview: Secondary Mathematics Teacher

As a Secondary Mathematics Teacher at MISA, you will guide students in understanding mathematical concepts, problem-solving strategies, and real-world applications. You will deliver lessons aligned with international curriculum standards while creating an engaging, student-centered classroom environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Teach mathematics to middle and high school students using the Cambridge or IB framework
• Plan and deliver interactive, concept-driven lessons that support deep mathematical understanding
• Use differentiated strategies to support diverse learners and promote student achievement
• Employ classroom technologies and digital resources to enhance instruction
• Build strong relationships with students, parents, and colleagues through effective communication
• Participate in curriculum planning, professional development, and school-wide initiatives

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Mathematics, Education, or a related field
• Valid teaching license or international certification (QTS, PGCE, or equivalent)
• At least 2 years of teaching experience at the secondary level
• In-depth knowledge of mathematics instruction and curriculum design
• Strong classroom management and communication skills
• High proficiency in spoken and written English
• A self-driven, proactive approach to curriculum enrichment and school improvement
• Prior experience with the Cambridge or IB curriculum is an advantage
