Role and Responsibilities

As a Teacher in the Intensive English Academic Programme, you will:

• Design and deliver engaging English language lessons tailored to students in Grades 1–6 who require additional language support.
• Foster a nurturing and inclusive classroom environment that encourages student participation and confidence.
• Support students in developing literacy skills necessary for success across the IB curriculum.
• Collaborate with classroom teachers and language support staff to monitor student progress and adapt learning plans.
• Participate in school events, staff meetings, and ongoing professional development sessions.

Qualifications and Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Education, English, TESOL, or a related field.
• Valid teaching certification (e.g., QTS, PGCE, or equivalent).
• 3–5 years of proven experience teaching English as an Additional Language (EAL) or in a similar support role.
• Familiarity with the IB curriculum and its learner-centred approach.
• Excellent classroom management and communication skills.
• Ability to work effectively in a multicultural and collaborative setting.
• High proficiency in spoken and written English.
