Role Overview

The ideal candidate is a motivated and experienced individual to fill the role of Early Years Teacher. This position demands a dedicated educator who can effectively design, manage, and deliver an engaging Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) curriculum. You will lead a dynamic classroom environment, delivering a program that follows the English National Curriculum to ensure students develop foundational literacy, numeracy, and social skills.

Key Responsibilities

• Plan and teach high-quality lessons that align fully with the EYFS framework and English National Curriculum standards.
• Develop and execute creative learning activities that promote physical, social, and emotional development.
• Cultivate an environment where children feel safe to explore, innovate, and take risks in their learning.
• Assess student progress consistently using observations and formative tools to track growth and provide personalized support.
• Maintain a positive, safe, and inclusive classroom environment that celebrates the diverse nationalities within our school.
• Collaborate consistently with colleagues to refine curriculum delivery and share best practices in early childhood education.
• Communicate effectively with parents to build strong partnerships and provide regular updates on student well-being and achievement.
• Utilize new technologies, such as interactive learning tools and digital portfolios, to enhance the quality of teaching and learning.
• Proactively enrich the curriculum by leading wider school initiatives, such as themed learning days or community events.
• Commit to ongoing professional growth by participating in school-led training and external workshops.

Qualification

• Education: Hold a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Early Childhood Education, Primary Education, or a related field.
• Certification: Possess a valid teaching license or official certification (e.g., QTS, PGCE, or equivalent) for early years or primary education.
• Experience: Demonstrate a minimum of 3 years of hands-on experience in an Early Years teaching position.
• Curriculum Knowledge: Show strong familiarity with the EYFS framework or the English National Curriculum.
• Professional Skills: Maintain excellent classroom management and superb communication and collaboration skills.
• Language Proficiency: Be highly proficient in spoken and written English.
• Technical Ability: Demonstrate the ability to use modern technologies to enhance the quality of teaching for young learners.
• Personal Attributes: Be independent, self-motivated, and proactive in enriching the school community and developing wider school initiatives.
