Role: Music Teacher
We are seeking a skilled and enthusiastic Music Teacher who can deliver a rich and engaging music curriculum across key stages. The successful candidate will demonstrate a strong foundation in music education, performance, and classroom teaching. A passion for developing students’ musical talents and creativity is essential.
Key Responsibilities:
- Plan and deliver high-quality music lessons
- Teach a range of musical disciplines, including instrumental and vocal techniques
- Organise and lead school performances, recitals, and musical events
- Assess student progress and adapt lessons to meet individual needs
- Inspire students to develop their skills, confidence, and musical appreciation
- Collaborate with colleagues to support interdisciplinary projects
- Use educational technology to enhance music learning
Qualifications and Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree in Music or a related field
- Recognised teaching certification (PGCE, QTS, or equivalent)
- Minimum of 2 years’ teaching experience in a similar role
- Proficiency in piano or vocal instruction is highly desirable
- Excellent classroom management and communication skills
- Fluent in spoken and written English
- A proactive, independent mindset with a commitment to continuous improvement
- Ability to build positive relationships with students, staff, and parents
