About Canadian International School Kunshan
Established in 2012, CISK began as a school offering the Ontario curriculum and has since evolved into a fully authorized IB Continuum School. We proudly deliver the Primary Years Programme (PYP), Middle Years Programme (MYP), and Diploma Programme (DP) to students aged 3 to 18. Located in Kunshan, China, our school serves a diverse international student population representing over 24 nationalities.

Role Overview: MYP English Teacher
As an MYP English Teacher, you will inspire students to become confident, articulate communicators and critical thinkers. You will deliver engaging, inquiry-based lessons that align with the IB MYP framework, encouraging students to explore literature and language through a global lens.
Key Responsibilities
- Plan and implement MYP English lessons that promote inquiry and interdisciplinary connections
- Assess student progress using varied formative and summative tools
- Encourage student reflection, collaboration, and communication
- Maintain a positive, respectful, and inclusive classroom environment
- Collaborate with colleagues, coordinators, and parents to support student development
- Contribute to school-wide events, clubs, and professional development initiatives
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in English, Education, or a related field
- Valid teaching license or certification (e.g., QTS, PGCE, B.Ed., or equivalent)
- Minimum 2 years of teaching experience, preferably in an IB or international setting
- Strong command of the English language, both written and spoken
- Excellent classroom management, organization, and interpersonal skills
- Technologically proficient and open to innovative teaching practices
- Deep understanding of MYP philosophy and assessment strategies
- Commitment to ongoing professional growth
