Role Overview: MYP Music Teacher
As the MYP Music Teacher, you will deliver engaging and inquiry-based music lessons aligned with the IB MYP framework. You will encourage students to explore different musical traditions, develop technical skills, and express themselves creatively through performance and composition.
You will work collaboratively with other teachers, contribute to interdisciplinary learning opportunities, and support school-wide events such as concerts, recitals, and exhibitions.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Music or a closely related field
- Valid teaching license or certification (PGCE, QTS, or equivalent)
- Minimum of 2 years of teaching experience, ideally in an IB environment
- Strong understanding of MYP curriculum and assessment standards
- Effective classroom management and communication skills
- Passion for music education and international teaching
- High proficiency in English, both written and spoken
- Ability to integrate technology into music instruction
- Self-driven, organized, and committed to continuous professional development
